Benedict and surrounding companys were dispatched to Prince Frederick Rd. and Wimbush Rd. for a vehicle into a tree. While Ambulance 5-8 and Engine 5-4 where in route to the scene, they were advised that the Sheriff's Office was on the scene with one patient trapped. Moments later Ambulance 5-8 under the command of EMS Chief 5B (J.Hutchinson) and Engine 5-4 under the command of F/F Ruslander arrived on scene to find a single vehicle that had left the road and struck a tree trapping the driver inside. Command advised Squad 2 of the situation and that extrication was needed. Mean while F/F Ruslander made entry into the vehicle through the back window and held stabilization on the patient until Squad 2's crew popped the door. The patient was then loaded and transported. Moments later command was terminated and units returned to service.
